About Me

Welcome to Yolotli Counseling, where healing begins with understanding and connection. I'm Brenda P. Melgoza, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT#89587) based in Southern California. My passion lies in supporting young professionals aged 20-45 within the BIPOC and Latinx communities, especially those who are children of immigrants and/or first generation college students.

Many of my clients seek help when facing challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, codependency, and navigating life transitions. As a therapist deeply committed to serving BIPOC and Latinx communities, I offer a safe and inclusive space where you can be yourself and embark on a journey of growth and belonging.

In our sessions, I meet you where you are, embracing your unique experiences and aspirations. Together, we'll navigate life's complexities with empathy, warmth, and a touch of humor. My therapeutic style is direct and solution-focused, yet rooted in compassion and understanding. You'll feel seen and supported from the moment you step into my office.

Beyond my practice, I find joy in dancing, exploring different cultures through travel, immersing myself in a good book, and staying active with activities like Orange Theory or weightlifting. I'm fueled by the energy of organization and planning, and I never say no to a delicious cup of coffee or sharing a meal with loved ones.

At Yolotli Counseling, you're not just a client – you're part of a journey towards healing, growth, and empowerment. Let's embark on this transformative journey together.
